²² Unless those days were limited, no one would^[a] survive.^[b] But those days will be limited because of the elect.^(A)

²³ “If anyone tells you then, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’^(B) or, ‘Over here!’ do not believe it!^{(C) 24} False messiahs^[c] and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray,^(D) if possible, even the elect.
